SCSI Connectors

Common SCSI Bus Connectors

 Host or Host Adapter   Connector
Most SCSI SLOW (5 Mbyte/sec) computers and host adapters use the Centronics-type 50-pin connector (CN-50). Also some 8-bit Fast computers and host adapters.
Old Sun and DG Computers (DB50)
Apple/Mac and some older Sun 8-bit SCSI-1 workstations (DB25).
Many 8-bit SCSI FAST / SCSI-2 / SCSI-3(ext) (up to 10 Mbytes/sec) computers and host adapters use this 50-pin High-Density connector (HD-50). Connector is about 1-3/8" (36mm) wide.
All FAST/WIDE (16-bit) SCSI-3 / Ultra2 LVD SCSI computers and host adapters plus old DEC single-ended SCSI use this 68-pin High Density connector (HD-68). Connector is about 1-7/8" (47mm) wide.
SCSI-4 (VHDC68)
New SCA 80-pin
