Ugh, the bike was soooooooo slow this weekend. Thank goodness my brother came up to help this weekend 'cause we were wrenching the whole time trying to get something out of it. Eventually we discovered that someone, the dyno shop probably, punched a hole in the diaphargm in one of the carbs and ripped the other one. It looks like they tried to plug it with RTV but, it obviously didn't hold. Grumble. Sunday morning we borrowed some diaphragms and tried the bike out again. It was definitely better but, a few people still stopped by to comment on how slow my bike was. For the race I basically pinned it and left it there. It was so slow that I had to actually downshift to make it up the hill into turn 2. Egads! Still, I rode my butt off and managed to squeak it in at 5th place. The video of the race was pretty fun too: catch up in the corners and lose several bike lengths in the straights.
