QUICK RAMBLING NOTES

AFM at Buttonwillow May 27-28, 2004

With all the chaos in my life I hadn't hit the pavement since last year so, feeling super 
rusty, I packed up and headed out to Buttonwillow while praying that all the my daily dirt 
bike routine would count for something.

In practice I wasn't able to beat my times form last year and did my best to come to terms 
with the serious probablity of having to fight for eigth place. However, when the flag 
dropped I found myself an active part of the lead pack consisting of Jay, Yoav, Val and 
myself. I guess I just needed some more motivation.

After a lot of position swapping, sliding backwards and forwards through the pack, we 
eventually caught up with lapped traffic which boned me and I ended up finishing forth. It 
was pretty neat have been a contender though!
