Yeeeeeehaw! I managed to suppress the butterflies in my belly long enough to get a start that wasn't terrible, I think being in the last row helped because I didn't have to worry about getting rammed from behind. As I was coming into turn one I noticed that my seat wasn't attached to the bike when the seat and I slid back about four inches. In turn two it slid back so far that I thought I was a goner but, after a couple of laps I managed to get it locked back into position and could start concentrating on trying to reel in Greg Creech #927 who'd pulled a pretty good lead on me. It took me about two laps to chase Greg down but I pulled under him on turn one (I couldn't have done it without all his pre-race advice :) and after lapping a couple of slow movers I got by the next guy on the inside of turn seven. Then I saw Jim Race #610 a little ways ahead and decided that he was mine! (I was getting excited). I managed to out brake him into eleven and nearly paid the price for it when my rear tire last traction towards the exit. It finally hooked back up and I looked back to say, "Hey, did you see that?" but, he was right on my butt so, I proceeded to do the two hottest laps of my life (nearly, highsiding once in the chicane). I started 49th and finished 33rd with a best lap time of 2:15 (for both of my last two laps) and I'm still doing the happy dance. ...Racing is fun!
