Craftsman 4-Drawer Portable Chest
Item# 00965427000, Model# 65427,
Dimensions: 20-1/2" W x 8-1/2" D x 14-1/4" H,
Weight: 24.5 lbs. (empty), Capacity: 1,840 cu. in.
I picked this one up because the 3-Drawer was just a hair too small and I prefer
to be more organized than the tub-style toolboxes allow. Basically, I want it to be
made of metal, have drawers and be lockable. Bonus points for being light and having
a convenient way to stand at a comfortable height. I've tried to include just about
every (non-speciality) tool I've ever needed when performing maintenance on any of
the bikes.

I'm still looking for a small table or stand to put this on at the track. I haven't
found what I'm looking for yet but, here's some products taht are close:
- Coleman High Stand - Model No. 2191A700, ~$20
28" Tall, Up to 18-3/4" Wide, Supports 100 Lbs,

Magnetic bowl - essential for not losing parts, Rule books are attached to lid with
a bungee cord and 1" Sticky Mounting Bases. I like to stick my cordless impact in
here for Road Races too. Otherwise, this is where I keep my mess.
Drawer Comments
The dorky foam inserts serve three main purposes: (1) I don't have to listen to
tools bangin' around in the toolbox while on the road and (2) people borrow tools
at the track - This way I can tell in an instant if everything is there. Lastly,
(3) I like knowing exactly where everything is.
Drawer 1
The precision wrenches are mostly for valve height adjustments. The 24mm open-ended
wrench is for the valve cover caps on the dirt bike. The breaker bar is for aligning
the crank when doing valve height adjustments (ratchets have too much play). The
9x10mm Offset Ratchet Wrench gets alot of use too.
Drawer 2
Lots of scewdrivers - The knubby philips is for getting under control pods w/o
having to take the bodywork off.
Drawer 3
Hacksaw and file for smoothing out crash damage or making more ground clearance.
The Dead blow is pretty cool - it has screw-on faces. I keep it with one metal
face to use as a hammer and one rubber face for more gnetle hammering. The punches
are for adjusting shock preload and aligning the wheels so I can slide the axle in
easier.
I would like to get some snap ring pliers in here but, I typically manage with the
small needle-nose pliers. I'd also like to get some master link pliers
or the ZipTye blocks in here as well.
Drawer 4
The caliper is mostly for setting fork height. The small safety wire spool is just
for emergencies - they bike is already wired when I get there. The spare bin is
only the basics: common nuts/bolts and fuses.
The wrench wrap is kind of annoying - it's the best way to keep 'em ogranized
compactly that I know of but, the loop and cinch closure is annoying.
