Pit Boards
I was having trouble reading the popular dry erase style boards so, I wanted something about the same size, for easy storage, but that was easy to read, only had one piece and was easy to setup.

Flip Style Flip Style
This pit board has all the numbers permanently attached similar to a spiral bound notebook. Just flip the cards until you get what you want. The one on the left is the one I have and is almost perfect for my needs.

These are available almost everywhere and range from $120 to $250 and up and up. The biggest negative to me is that the cards have to be attached which gives you one more thing to lose/store or to chase across the paddock when they get blown away. Plus, they tend to be larger than what I want.
Digital Style Digital Style
These pit boards have digital type numbers where they are attached to the board via elastic string. One side white one black. Flip the parts of the digital "8" to make up your number (8 can represent every digit from 0-9 when you remove part of it).
LCD Style LCD Style
I haven't found many of these. The picture is for a scoreboard not a pitboard but, this one is nice as it is battery powered and remote control and you could obviously relabel GUEST and HOME as POSITION and LAPS.
